Stories of the City: Sailortown is a collaboration between songwriters Fionnuala Fagan and Isobel Anderson.
Commissioned by the MAC as part of SARC’s programme of residencies – the project documents the stories of people who lived and worked in Sailortown. Sailortown is the dockside area of Belfast that has undergone significant change since the building of the M2 motorway in the 1960s.
The artists have used material from interviews conducted with members of the Sailortown community to create an installation and performance that uses a mixture of song, soundscapes, objects, images and text.
Lamb Films used video to document the process and the events.
