THE SPECIAL ONE
Two football fans Ted and Stephen, fed up of the lack of effort from their team chance their arm and apply for the vacant managers job. The owner, desperate for the team not to be relegated and to boost his own popularity, hires them because "they have the passion of fans". They have 3 games to try and keep the team in the premier league but discover its a lot more difficult to motivate the overpaid players than they thought.
They don’t get the results they need but they begin to win over the fans by working hard on the pitch. The truth about Ted comes out before the final game of the season but the owner is blamed by the fans and Ted is retained for the final game. The team give their all but are relegated. The football club is bought over by the fans and Ted is elected chairman and they return to the premier league the following season.
