Welcome To My World

Introduction
With Belfast becoming an ever increasing multi cultural community of people, and the colours that represent the people who live in the capital being more than orange and green the "Welcome To My World' Project was formed.
Sometimes change can lead to fear, fear that is fed through lack of understanding and the lack of understanding coming from a lack of opportunity to understand.
With this in mind the "Welcome To My World" project set out to tackle the issue of intolerance and help to build relationships among young people who call Northern Ireland Home.
Content of the Program
The program used a multi-faceded approach to try and achieve its aims, the activities were designed with young people in mind and within the sensitivities considered all of those involved in the project. The methodology that was used kept the groups apart for the for the first few weeks with the only contact between the groups was a series of video diaries, and the chance meetings in hallways, they came together and the rest, as they say is history.
Media Training
Lamb Films also trained the group in film making, so they could tell their stories after the project ended.
